Built and completed in time for the 2016 iteration of Lovely December in Toraja (an event that occurs annually), the large cross facing the city of Rantepao proclaims the name “Toraja Utara” underneath it. To get up to the cross with its panoramic views of Rantepao, climb the cement stairs leading all the way up. Once atop the hill, there is a building from where you can shade yourself from the Torajan sun while still enjoying beautiful views of the surrounding region out of the glass windows.
